This Futuristic Smartphone Can See Inside All Objects
Some say that the segment of smartphones is reaching a level of exhaustion, and in this sense, it is necessary to innovate. During CES 2017, the Chinese manufacturer Changhong announced a smartphone with a Scio molecular sensor capable of detecting the chemical composition and calories of food. Let’s meet Changhong H2. The LG G5 and the iPhone 7 Plus have two rear chambers. Changhong H2 also has only one of them has a molecular sensor capable of detecting the chemical composition of food, liquid, medicine, or even get human measurements. In the case of food, this sensor even tells us the number of calories. Of note is that this technology was one of IBM’s innovations over the next five years. The Changhong H2, which integrates this technology, was presented during CES 2017 and is expected to hit the market later this year. The SCiO sensor was developed in partnership with ADI and Consumer Physics. This sensor sends infrared radiation to the objects and obtains, through the absorption of reflected light, the objects’ molecular fingerprint. But what is this technology for? Imagine you will eat a loaf of bread and wonder what the calories are? For example, how many calories does a glass of soda have, or know the amount of sugar in an orange? But this technology can also be used to know, for example, how much body fat your biceps have. During the presentation at CES, project managers show the equipment to assess whether a Viagra tablet was fake or not. In addition to the technology mentioned, the Changhong H2 smartphone comes with a 2Ghz octa-core processor, a 3000 mAh battery, biometric reader, 16 MP camera. This smartphone’s body is made of aluminum and looks very stylish, but no doubt the new sensor brings new excitement to this segment.
