Meet The World’s First Foldable Smartwatch
Foldable smartphones seem to be the biggest thrills of the moment, with recent releases of the South Korean giant Samsung and the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei models. However, this does not mean that no companies are betting on other lines, as the all-new Nubia Alpha is one of the highlights of MWC 2019. As it unites the features of a smartphone with the shape of a smart bracelet. Basically, Nubia is a well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, which has ZTE as one of its shareholders, that had already presented the device in August at IFA 2018, but has now finally revealed its specifications. According to the manufacturer, the screen can be folded up to 100 thousand times without presenting any damage. The device uses a custom version of Android for wearables and can even be used to watch movies, even if your screen does not have the most appropriate format. You can pay bills through AliPay, take pictures with the 5MP camera, send messages by SMS or WeChat, and, of course, make calls without the need for a smartphone. As the screen covers much of the wrist, it is almost impossible to visualize the information it displays comfortably. Hence, to solve the problem, the system has a scroll bar that allows access to elements that are in the most extreme parts. In addition to the touch screen, navigation can be done by the two buttons on the right. One is to return to the home screen and another to send voice commands. The second, however, was not yet working on the units released to the press, as the well-known media portal, of course, The Verge stated. Its smartphone also offers a gesture navigation mode that lets you scroll the information up, down, and sideways. While now if we talk about the features of this new device as smartwatch then let me clarify that this new smart bracelet simply allows to monitor and view the data of sleep, physical activities, and heart rate. Moreover, the all-new Nubia Alpha uses Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, which is released in 2016 and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, a 500mAh battery which, according to the manufacturer, allows the device to be used for up to two days without new charge.
